I guess in hindsight I've always been an anarchist. I didn't know that, of course, but I never liked my government (and I always especially despised politicians), and there were always a lot of laws that I could never wrap my head around (not the least of which was "Alcohol: good. Cannibus: BAD!")
I first encountered anarchy when I was listening to Freethought Radio, where Freedomain Radio had a segment or two (and maybe still does, It's been a while since I listened). The only thing I heard was Stef talking about this thing called "Anarchy", which I new to be a horrible thing, a state of lawlessness where it's a massive free-for-all world war, guns blazing. I turned off freethought radio somewhay shocked, and tried to put it out of my mind.
Then, several years later, I was browsing YouTube, and came across one of Stefs videos, "Myths of World Wars". I had always suspected something was wrong with my history lessons. Why did the Americans declare war in World War 1? My history teacher never had a good answer. Where did the Wiemer republics massive inflation come from? Once again, my history teacher (though admitedly not an econimics teacher) didn't have a good answer.
Steph did, though.
His video was long, but every second of it interesting. A lot of it made perfect sense, but it did raise more questions. So, I started watching more of Stefs videos. It still wasn't enough of course, so I started reading Wiki articles on econimics and anarchy. My searches eventually took me to LewRockwell.com, and the Mises Insitute.
I've never looked back since.
