    "FRIENDLY FIRE"

This is so ridiculous that these people can get away with this.

These are some of the reasons listed why a person was killed in "friendly fire". The darkest night of the month - give me a break. The term it's self "friendly fire" - don't even get me started....

  • -The darkest night of the month
  • -Lots of dust in the air
  • -Tired soldiers
  • -A surge in base occupancy
  • -An attack of "unprecedented intensity"

Why does it matter? Only a moron would be there in the first place.

Even the intelligent can be fooled.

  • Interesting. These are also all frequent excuses for why they failed to kill the the 'unfriendly'.

What's especially sad, is the fact that soldiers are already so damaged from intellectual and emotional 'friendly fire' that by the time they die on a battlefield, they're already hamburger.

I know it's a cliche', but who can not wonder, every time we hear stories of these conflicts, "what if nobody bothered to show up"?

They're working on that: the USA now, but other states for a while now, require you to present a passport in order to leave.

I'm on the on call list if they want me back (AKA IRR). By the terms of the contract I signed, I can be called back in any time before late 2009 and held as long as they want to keep me in the desert.

    But I ain't going back.

They ain't gonna send me to face possible death at the hands of the "enemy". They'll have to kill me themselves.

Guess that would make me a deserter.

Heh, they can call it whatever they wish.

They're not gonna make me do anything, unless they want to simply make me die. And it wont be by needle, chair or chamber.

    So you are X-military then?

    sorry to hear that!

    TAGENT ALERT

    Why did you join?

An ever intensifying hatred of my life, driving me to care less about continuing existance. This was the powder and lead.

9-11 was the barrel and scope. It gave me my target and course of action.

I don't regret a moment. I learned much truth, and I answered many unasked questions.
