How much cheaper would everything be without the state?

Where I live the consumer pays 20% taxes for most of the stuff we buy, I'm pretty sure a lot of taxes are payed before the itens reach the shops and I was wondering overall how much cheaper would it be without any kind of taxation at all anyone, has an idea?

Stef has a podcast about that.  Try 497 "Intermittent Slavery".

    I don't remember his figures.

But I'm sure a doubling of income and a halving of all costs is an extremely conservative estimate.  So at least a 4 fold real increase in wages.

And with everything becoming easier and more efficient, no inflation, better education and training for young people, jobs for all, quality/cheap housing, better/cheaper medical care, better technology etc...   The mind boggles with how much better we'd be off in the economic areas.

Poverty exists in the western world because of violence.
