    Religious Libertarians and Religious Libertarianism

I mostly got over arguing with new agers and christians when I was seventeen.  Religion has been such a case-closed thing for me for so long I hardly even think about the existence of Christians in any extent, like politics it's all just bad news and stupidity that I'm well aware of and not inclined to do anything about.  I was thinking about why I don't mind Tom Woods despite the fact that he is totally a catholic.  I even read one of his catholic books.  I do think that religion can only support libertarianism in the way that nonsense can be used to 'support' anything.  So why does Tom Woods totally not bother me?  I think the answer is that I can state with great empirical and even statistical certainty that there will never be any situation in the future in which Tom Woods' religion will cause him to advocate, threaten or engage in violence against me.

So that's why I don't even bother to discuss the religion thing on the libertarian boards, because the people I am talking to are almost entirely nonthreatening and totally out of my control.  Why worry about it?

Aren't religious libertarians something like Ron Paul supporters, in the sense that they actually harm the truth instead of promoting it?

I won't let go of past me, but rather invite him to chill at my birthday.

In some sense, yes, but they're outside of my control and aren't any direct threat to me.  And, unlike the RP guys, the ones I'm talking about aren't in favour of any government.
