    For those interested in photography...

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=ft1jauPQDB

For anyone who is interested in photography, here are some images I've taken.

The resolution on youtube is absolutely terrible, but you can get the general idea from these thumbnails.

    I hope you enjoy them.

Any feedback would be extremely valuable.

    Great photos, dude.

Tom Waits was a great pick for the background music, too...

mhh, Tom Waits Big Smile ... who was the second singer?

You have some awsome pictures. I like your way to detect a appealing color composition. The chairs. The blue backround. The red dots. the yellow spots. The monumentality  of a wall, a house.

Almost emty prictures with selected shapes and then piles of things of the same kind.

Thanks so much for the feedback :)

The second song was "Apple Orchard" by Beach House.

I always find I'm interested in re-occurance as a theme.  Also, since my camera is garbage (a 7 year old pocket camera), I use  black and white to focus on the shapes and content as opposed to subtle color things.

There's a flikr account under my name but China blocked it, so I can't check it, so I don't even know if it's still up. :(

Wow, thanks so much for checking them out.  When I finished the project I got really down.  I started to question the quality of the shots and thought maybe they weren't special, because I showed them to my parents and brother and sisters, and they didn't say anything except, "Oh, that looks dirty."  and "why aren't YOU in the pictures?".

That kind of sapped the excitement for a while.

You know how hard it is to judge your own art.  It's like, the more time you spend analyzing something you've made, the less you know what you have, from the standpoint of a viewer.  It's hard to see the big picture, when you've spent so much time looking at the details.

    Anyway.

It's nice to hear others think they are enjoyable :)

Of course you can post that link!  Where would you post it?

    Thanks.Big Smile

Family - ughh... I don't care how awesome your family is - NEVER - rely on them to give you worthwhile feedback on artistic endeavors =P

Dude I am not even done with the video yet - and I am compelled to commet. I absolutely loved the pictures with the Monks- standing around the temples ... then only to see a shot of them running a long side a train in a station - ahahah perfect~ ! - Okay I am gonna go back to watching now. Thanks a ton of posting these - they are brilliant. I also like how the pictures were laid out - with many black & whites with the occasional color popping up and really bringing to life what you've been seeing. Nice nice nice work.
