    The New Movement in Irrationality

This website is home to some of the biggest mishmashes of insightful analysis and total irrationality and intellectual elitism... http://realitysandwich.com

Mostly, I bring it up because one of my friends is really into it, and I'm trying to figure out the most productive way of approaching her about it. Any ideas? I'm also just curious as to what people think about some of the articles posted on the site.

If your friend is rational you have nothing to worry about. If she has issues than I would worry about those instead of the site. Really, the site seems like a place that might have something to offer, and might not, she needs the tools to sort through it thats all.

It is difficult to talk somebody out of traps like that if they start becoming a true believer, or devoted to their conclusions. I would avoid any approach that starts off by attacking the website and their views as a starter. Be curious about her and find out what attracts her to this stuff and what it does for her and go from there.

What is the difference between fate and destiny? Imagine yourself on a supremely windy day. If you just sit there, and let the wind take you where it will, that's fate. But if you are the deciding factor of where you will go--even against the wind--that is destiny.
