“Philosophy with crumpets”: The unofficial FDR UK meet-up!

The sky is cloudy and there is a hint of drizzle in the air. Raincoats abound and there isn’t a smile in sight: ah, it must be summer. So, come to the UK! Let’s face it; with the weather we get, we need something to look forward to.

In all seriousness, we would like to organise a meet-up sometime this summer of all FDR lovers who are currently in the UK. There have been whispers that some of you across the pond are heading in this direction at some point this August and we would love to try and co-ordinate the event with any planned trips as much as possible. The general idea so far is to meet somewhere nice in London and have a good old chat, even just for a day. There could be pre-suggested topics/themes (as with the seminars) or we could just keep it open and easy: any ideas welcome!

If this sounds like your cup of tea (pun totally intended) then drop James and/or me a line:

    Thanks!

Excellent! My course runs from 4-28 August, so I'll be rather busy except at the weekends... but would definitely like to meet up with all of you sometime during the month. I'll be in the country from the 1st till... whenever I find a job elsewhere. Smile

I'm on holiday in Cornwall from the 8th - 20th of August.  It would be good if we could settle a date towards the end of August.

Sounds like a great idea Hannah! :D I'd love to see you all in person. I've booked a holiday in Wales from 4th-11th August, and my work hours are pretty unpredictable but name a date and i'm there!

Sounds like the last week of August would be a good time, maybe sometime during the bank holiday weekend (23rd-25th)? Duckyfeets, how long are you here for?

So, are we settling on those dates (23rd - 25th)?

Will it being a bank holiday weekend cause any problems?

Hey, so I just booked my tickets.  I'm in London from the 21th -27th of August.  I'm staying near Ladbroke Grove.  Let me know when and where the meet up.  I'm gonna be on my own in London for almost a week, can anyone recommend places to go?
