    Re: some big little news...

This is incredible news, Stef & Christina!  I am so thrilled for you both.  Thank you for being willing to share your journey with us!

I've decided to start writing some children's books & a parenting book as well.  (These books will be based on my intuition, experience as a nanny/empirical evidence, & developmental psychology/research.)  As soon as I have something ready, expect a package!

& if you do need help with diapering (or anything else), I'm happy to be your nanny!  Big Smile

    Congratulations!

    Be well,

I have been listening to FDR for a while now but have just joined the forum, mainly so I could express my hearty congratulations on the happy anouncement of LCF! FDR has given me so much hope for the future, and this bit o' news has added to that feeling.

Again, congratulations Stefan and Christina, and thank you so much for doing what you do.

Congratulations.Big Smile Parenting for the two of you should be fun since you still make Christina laugh quite often. Laughter takes a lof of the stress of being a parent, especially of little ones.  I am so excited I found FDR. The possiblities of continuing learning, resolving moral dilemmas and clearing the BS lingering from my past are enormeous.

A parenting resouce I found of extremely help 13 years ago saved my two kids from a life of quiet desperation.

    Re: some big little news...

I  just want you to know that I owe the referral to your site to a guy that posted an intriguing post in Craigl's List , again I am grateful to be able to listen, read and write thoughts on personal freedom and the dilemmas in daily life. Let me start to say that I am a divorced mom of two teens,  and their Dad is no longer involved. I picked the wrong man and that has been one of biggest mistakes in my existence.

My son was four years when my daughter came to this world. During this period I realized I was not the best of moms and began spanking (in anger) my son very frequently mainly because he was attacking the baby and was dispaying all sorts of unacceptable behaviors to get my attention. I hated myself and truly realized that I was hurting my son anf would not be a good mom for my daughter either if I didn't get any help. At the time I lived in Los Angeles, CA, US and found an incredible therapist, Faye Snyder. She created a course called The Miracle Parenting Series (Institute of Parenting) http://www.tipponline.org/classes.html I went thru the course and broke the mirrow of abuse. I experienced a dramatic change in my thinking and diligently followed the principles that lead me to become an effective loving parent that sets appropriate boundaries.
