Excellent video. I really hate the EU and it's nice that they're being shown to be the corrupt bastards that they are.

The guy at the end seems to be under the delusion that the MEPs have a "morality" that can be appealed to.. :\

I'm looking for someone to help me out with some WordPress web design for my blog - PM for details, will pay :)

The anger and frustration that this will make most people feel is actually part of the abuse.

How many of the viewers, in the same situation, would act differently?

Re: EU members of parlament and a (s)camera

I just love to see there guilty asses run away from the camera against the elevator door, hiding their faces, shouting: 'go away, go away' to the interviewer or 'none of your business'. Considering the outcome of referenda about the EU it seems most people realize at least of the EU what it's real purpose is. Not that this will stop it's progress, slow it down at most. I guess there is no other option than to party on

Strangly this has been a scandal before. The response at the time was to ban all cameras. This guy must have slipped through, so it is likely the last time you will hear of it. The EU thugs clearly do not have the media in their pocket, like the national governments. This stuff stays under water nationaly. The talk of morality at the end is ofcourse not in line with what we would cosider moral, but that kind of understanding is so immensly far away here (an add of the LP calling taxation theft, was just simply prohibited on moral grounds)

I guess many people would like to act similar in a similar situation, but normally there is a voluntary link of shareholders, board of directors, CEO to keep this stuff limited.

I remember. There was the same issue couple of years ago. Same pictures same questions same problem. All the emty rows - the illusion of a parlament. I guess most of the viewers would have acted the same in the situation since when you are there at 7 am to pick up some money and disappear into the weekend you know that you are doing something wrong. This woman from the green !! party- so desperate, so guilty. This is simply a farce. Thank you for posting. Keeps the memory fresh about all this nonsense.

It's the same here in the USA.  C-Span has learned only to focus on one or another apparatchik's oratory on the floor of the House or Senate since the chamber is virtually empty.  The tax-funded junkets to Hawai'i for "fact-finding" with spouses and children being paid as assistants is one of the most egregious I have heard of.  Well, if this North American union that has John Birchers and the like abuzz with conspiracy theories comes to pass I guess we will see this (or probably not since cameras won't be allowed) happening on this side of the pond more frequently.

Yes, I couldnt agree with you more Stef,

The funny thing is, is what the guy from the taxpayers alliance said... 'we should appeal to the MEP's morality, as they should be a role model to all of us'... Too funny for words... Big Smile

Like watching the chimps in the zoo... The point about the EU has always been about politicians grabbing more and more power.. They care little for national boundaries, particularly when they can have more power over more citizens and an even larger tax base to pilfer... I expect more of this....
