    Hello

My name is Red and I am a 19 year old Deist.  Was basically a Fascist a good part of my life b4 I turned to Anarchism.   Once I turned to Anarchism, I wondered if anybody else thought like me and I found this.  It is kind of interesting that I turned to Anarchism without any external influence.  This is my first post so hello everyone.  Just learning about different ideas like Anarchism, Populism, Nationalism, Objective Egoism, Subjective Egoism, etc.  I love the podcasts...

Welcome to the board red. Beer

Why did you make the switch from fascism to anarchism?

    Wecome, Red!

That's great that you turned to anarchism on your own. How did you end up being a fascist before that? How did you end up being a Deist. Were you brought up with religion?

In response to Modern Day Leftism and Neoconservatism.  For a while I was so far right that Nazies, Fascists, Constitutionalists, and even some Libertarians befriended me...I was into protectionism, isolationism, nationalism...just think of pre-WW I Europe...all the nations with HIGH tariffs and extreme nationalism...I was like that...I basically drew my politics from European and American Nationalists of the 1920's...protectionism, isolationism, and anti-communism...the Right is full of so many different types of people and after a while, I realized that it does not matter if it was a right boot or left boot the government was using to step on my throat

    Hi Red.

I have found your posts here and on other threads very interesting, but I'm curious about the history of your religious beliefs as well as your political beliefs, if you don't mind going into it. What kind of beliefs were you brought up with, and where did your belief evolve from there?

    Re: Hello

Well I was confirmed Catholic but my household was very secular and free thinking.  I found nationalism to be appealing so I ventured into the right first.  My brother is apathetic, my sister is some what of a Democratic Socialist, my father would be a Populist, my mom is open-minded to new ideas, and I am an Anarchist.

    Hey Red! Welcome.

I love the avatar, do you have a larger picture of it?

You say you are a deist, can you tell us more about that?

    Re: Hello

My ex-girlfriend lives a life of contradiction...that is only ONE of the reasons the relationship ended.  I just decided to cut her out of my life completely in everyway...we were just friends but I am now cutting her off for a lot of reasons.  Now, Ashley is an "anarchist" who is for Ron Paul and also she has A LOT of friends gun hoe in the military.  She is now starting to grow one these paid killers of the state...this is an excerpt of our convo.  I made the last part bold, underlined, and italized because it is important...this is ONLY one of the reasons we broke up...there are MANY reasons though.  I am a lonely anarchist...I was always naturally anti-social because deep in my core, I knew that everyone was a walking contradiction

I actually believe that statists are more moral than "anarchists" who glorify the state...

I am interested, as well, in hearing more about Deism (from the perspective of FDR). It seems to be the belief I identify the most with..

Your ex sounds like an "anarchist" who got into "anarchism" just because it sounds cool. I dunno if I would break up with someone just cause they're confused like this. But hey, I'm not the king of relationships here.

The only change I can believe in is in my piggy bank. Oh, wait, that's fiat money. Never mind.

As an ex-authoritarian imperialist, it's actually refreshing to meet someone who will call their former doctrine for what it is, and who recognized the same things I did.  Once I realised that everyone in favour of authoritarianism was either looney or a cynical manipulator, I found it hard to combine with my individualist notions of elitism.  I would be fascinated to hear more about this, most libertarians I have met were nowhere near as Statist as I was.
