I think Stef is upset because there is a debate. And I think his joking about being dictator was very revealing. I remember having a boss once who joked about not paying the workers. It definitely let us know what was on his mind.
You know, for a guy who claims a deep knowledge of ethics, you are kind of missing a basic one here, which is that it's pretty rude to insult someone as intolerant and dictatorial while using his server for free.

With that very sentence you've pretty much proved my point regarding absolute property rights.

Do tell, how are YOU entitled to use Stef's server as you please. The very server he has paid for honestly through voluntary contributions.

If the accusation is false then it is rude for anyone to say it. If it is true then anyone has the right to say it. In other words, whether or not one is helping to pay for the server is irrelevant.

Of course, you have the right to say whatever you want. Just don't expect me to subsidize your right to call me dictatorial.

    Re: "Anarcho"-capitalism = slavery.

So now you are disconnecting means from ends? This is suppoused to be a consistent moral theory?

I would not let him starve (I would feed him), but I would not put a gun to anyone's head and tell them that they needed to relinquish resources to a someone who did not earn it. And just so you know, that is what you would be doing.

So it is ok for your ends and means to not match up, but then it is not ok for the possibility (after charities, jobs, begging) that someone could be denied food that they did not earn? Eve

Technology is traded by individuals and developed by individuals.

The way people earn things is through turning those elements into useable items. Run out into the forest and see if cows turn into meat for you, you have to do "tonnes" of work to get tonnes of beef. It extremely hard, so those resources are useless without work, which comes from people, who are at large responsible for themselves.

Why do retarded people have anything to do with the fact that I am responsible for myself? They either work or do not, and if they do work they take on responsibilities. Which is why they own the fruits of their actions.

Money had very little to do with my argument, it could be any medium, and just because something is commonly used that does not mean "society" or "the greater good" have anything to do with it. There are lots of computer parts which are used just as much as money.

I am very confused on why it is bad to sell blood. People need/want to live, blood when they are injured, and people should be rewarded if they are giving it.

Of course it is not bad.  Neither does the government think it is bad, they just got it under price control with the price equal to zero. The usual price control effects rake it from there.

I have noticed that a lot of leftists get upset over things like selling blood or organs (or work) .  I do not know why... they like comparing it to being a whore. Even if that were apt, I do not have the right to stop people from being whores.

Oh btw: I may be morally corrupt because I do not see the injustice in not wanting to point guns at people to get food for people. I guess I am on the wrong side of the robbery issue.
